In 1804, the Methodist Episcopal congregation of Alexandria moved from its first meeting house in Chapel Alley to this location. The meeting house remained here until 1942, when the building was disassembled and relocated to its present site, where it now stands as Trinity United Methodist Church, 2911 Cameron Mills Road, Alexandria, Virginia.
