Behind 110 N. Royal
This plaque is located in the courtyard of the block of N. Royal, King, N. Pitt and Cameron. Locally, the best identifier is perhaps Pat Troy’s Bar and Restaurant. Their outdoor dining is in the courtyard, and the plaque can be seen from there.
I’m not sure who Mr. Privett was, but he obviously made an impact on people’s lives.

On Sunday, March 28, 2004, RILEY AMBROSE PRIVETT, JR. of Annandale, VA. Beloved husband of Allene F. Privett; loving father of Linda Mattera (Tony), Betty Herz, Michael R. (Sheri) Privett and the late Susan A. Thompson (Bruce); brother of Virginia Taylor and Betty Widner. Mr. Privett is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at DEMAINE SPRINGFIELD-ANNANDALE FUNERAL CHAPEL, Backlick and Edsall Rds., Springfield, VA on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Friday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Interment National Memorial Park.
