Here follows an excerpt from Donald Hakenson's "This Forgotten Land" tour guide:

According to local historians, there is an Indian burial ground inside a triangle of land on the right hand side of the road at the bottom of Franconia and Telegraph Roads. During the Civil War, Patrick Welsh owned the land at the intersection where the "Indian Burial Ground" is located. He had eleven acres on both sides of Franconia Road.
