Brown Barracks
Named in honor of Private First Class Melvin L. Brown, Company D 8th Engineer Combat Battalion was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his conspicuous gallantry and outstanding courage above and beyond the call of duty in action against the enemy near Kasan, Korea on 4 Sep 1950.

Marker Erected 1957 by Fort Belvoir.
